Araxi Zakarian is a certified Physician Assistant and completed her education at Pace University, Lenox Hill Hospital PA Program in New York City. She had experience in plastic/reconstructive surgery, general surgery, emergency medicine, and family medicine before finding her way to hematology/oncology. She has been interested in oncology since working as a research assistant at UCLA conducting clinical trials of different cancer types. She chose to work at LA Cancer Network because of our doctors, nurses, and staff and their devotion to our patients. Araxi loves collaborating with physicians and patients to create a plan that is geared specifically toward each individual. She comforts her patients by actively listening to them and making sure they understand everything they are going through. She wants her patients to know to “always ask us questions, be patient, keep a positive attitude, and trust that we will work together as a team to help you get better.” In her free time, Araxi loves to go hiking, explore new places, and watch her favorite TV shows like Modern Family.
