Dr. Rodolfo Gutierrez completed his hematology/oncology Fellowship with the Olive View-UCLA, Cedars-Sinai medical Center. Dr. Gutierrez completed his residency in internal medicine at the Olive View-UCLA Medical Center after receiving his medical degree at the UC Davis School of Medicine and his B.S in biology at UC Irvine. It has been a priority of Dr. Gutierrez to study and highlight the disparities in our healthcare system including lack of access, education and resources to minority and low-income groups. He has put much effort into promoting healthcare equality by providing quality care to underserved communities. Dr. Gutierrez treats all hematology and oncology patients but has a special interest in clinical research, lung malignancies, and hematologic malignancies.
He has participated in both NIH and industry-sponsored research, including phase 1 trials, focusing on novel immunotherapeutic and cellular therapies.
Dr. Gutierrez takes a patient-centered approach in treating cancer with the understanding of the latest in cancer therapeutics. He prides himself in working and connecting with patients and their families to optimize individualized care.
